The Verifyt Affiliate Program

When I joined Verifyt, there was no affiliate infrastructure, no network relationships, and no partner pipeline. I designed and launched the program end-to-end — from strategy and platform selection through partner onboarding, tracking, and performance reporting.

In year one, we onboarded 600+ brand partners. We are on track to reach 4,000+ by year-end.

My Role

Designed the affiliate program strategy, structure, and onboarding framework from scratch

Evaluated and selected affiliate network partners including Rakuten, Commission Junction (CJ), Awin, and Skimlinks

Built and managed direct brand relationships alongside network-level partnerships

Developed partner onboarding materials, creative guidelines, and performance tracking infrastructure

Reported on affiliate ROI and optimized the program based on partner performance data

Collaborated with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless platform integration

Strategy & Thinking

The program was built on three principles:

The right partners over the most partners. Every brand onboarded had to align with Verifyt's audience — fashion-forward, size-inclusive, digitally native. Volume matters, but relevance matters more.

Infrastructure before scale. Before expanding the partner count, I built the systems: onboarding flows, tracking dashboards, reporting frameworks, and communication templates. Scaling without structure creates chaos.

Relationships alongside transactions. Affiliate networks like Rakuten and Awin provide reach and infrastructure, but the most valuable partnerships came from direct brand relationships built over time. Both approaches were developed in parallel.

Execution

Launched affiliate program from zero, reaching 600+ active brand partners in year one

Built direct partnerships with major affiliate networks: Rakuten, Commission Junction, Awin, and Skimlinks

Developed scalable partner onboarding frameworks and creative asset packages

Built performance tracking dashboards to monitor affiliate-driven revenue, clicks, and conversions

Managed ongoing partner relationships and program optimization

Collaborated with the VC team to extend the affiliate model into influencer-led denim production partnerships in the US

Key Learnings

Affiliate programs are brand programs — every partner reflects on the product

Building the infrastructure first makes scale sustainable, not chaotic

Direct brand relationships and network relationships serve different purposes and both matter

The best affiliate partnerships feel like collaborations, not transactions
